Jewellery Stand

What do the symbols, "cross, heart and anchor" that appear on jewellery stand for? Why these symbols?

  1. Do you mean all together? I've never seen that. The only ones I've seen all together are the eagle, ball, and anchor of the corps. (marine corps)
  2. cross- christianity heart-love anchor-navy
  3. They stand for faith, hope, and love. The cross is the traditional Christian symbol and stands for faith, and the heart stands for love. The anchor stands for hope, because when a ship travels, it always has an anchor with it, since it is believed that there will always be a place that the ship can put that anchor. I think the faith, hope, and love thing comes from a bible verse, though I'm not sure which one. Somebody else will probably tell you.
  4. I use to work in a jewelry store and I was told that it stands for Faith, Hope and love, usually these characteristics are found in people who do charity work. Not just donating money, but actually dedicating time and effort for a good cause. Faith because others believe in them bringing hope to their surroundings and doings every action with love.
  5. Faith, hope and love, this roots from, but isn't exclusing to Christianity. Now we see many people use it on tattoos and jewelery, as you mentioned. Though I beleive LoveBites and Bruises: http://www.lovebitesandbruises.com has claimed it as a trademark recently.
