Jewellery Stand

I have a weird symbol on the back of my sterling silver necklace, and i don't know what it stands for.?

The symbol at first looks like it says 1981, but when you look at it carefully it looks like a W and a M put together with some other things around it and i was wondering if anybody knew what it meant. I was thinking it was maybe a signature but i dont know.
