Is my little brother gay?

Whenever he sees a girl with revealing clothes, or even just a mannequin with a bikini or something on, he starts talking about how "gross" it is. Also, he has very feminine tastes. He has jewelry and other things like that. He claims he just "collects" it, but once he went around the house with clip-on earrings on. He also slaps boys on the butt at school. He's only 9 (10 in a few days) but is it possible he's gay? My other bro has noticed it too, and voiced the same worries. We are Catholics, and if he was gay we would put him through therapy, so it's a serious issue. Just the other day he brought home a bracelet. HELP! Sid, you are supposed to make a vinegar and baking soda volcano, not set an ant hill on fire! It's not that he's not turned on, it's that he's completely disgusted. He doesn't act like that if it's a guy in a swimsuit. I'm not worried that he doesn't like girls, I'm worried that he seems attracted to boys.

  1. He's probably just trying to deal with growing up, and figuring out who he is. It might be a phase, or he's just messing with you, but don't make fun of him, even if you don't mean it. Whether he's gay or not he needs you to be his big brother, which means loving him regardless.
  2. yea it could be. go and get him a girl.
  3. You need to perform a test. Get a lighter, some lighter fluid and find an ant hill. Pour the fluid on the hill and light it on fire. If you brother is busy sucking cock then he is gay *EDIT* touche, I actually wanted to think of a different experiment and burning ants was the first thing that came to mind
  4. sorry to say but he his gone he is gay as hell
  5. Um no. He's only 9. It's nomal for boys to think girls are gross and to not be interested in girls yet, they think they have cooties. Relax and let him grow out of it. It's just a stage and I have seen this before. Wearing jewelry doesn't make him gay--I know a lot of guys who wear bracelets and necklaces and they're perfectly straight. Give it a few years. If it isn't toned down by 12 or 13 then you can worry but for now not getting turned on by a mannequin (who get turned on by mannequins anyway?) or slutty girls shouldn't be an issue. [EDIT] I still don't think you have anything to worry about. He's not going to be grossed out by a guy mannequin because he is a guy and he's used to that. I guarantee you it's normal. What wouldn't be normal is if continues this behavior into his teenage years. But for now, he's just going through a phase that a lot of boys go through. Don't worry yourself or him relax and just let him ride it out..
