I want to make a posable hand mannequin?

Ok. They have fake hand models. For jewelry or gloves or whatever. I need one that is posable, so that I can put it in different positions. What are some good ways to make this? It doesn't have to be a hard material, like wood or anything. I'd even prefer to make it softer? some sort of form, with wiring or something inside, so it's more positionable? any ideas?
