How do you loosen up a phiten necklace?

I have a phiten 18" necklace, and it is very stiff and looks awkward around my neck.. how can i loosen it up a little bit and make it fit more naturally on my neck instead of standing up on random parts. how can i soften up the necklace part?

1. It will loosen up as you wear it, when it comes out of the package it's all tangled and stuff but it eventually gains it's shape
2. i had the same problem! yeah im a girl and i have one, shutup haha. but i just wore it around the house when i first got it, and it loosened up as i wore it it looks really awkward if you wear it to sports when its right out of the pocket once its somewhat worn, it will loosen up and look normal aroun your neck :) goodluck !
