Is it considered copyright infringement to create and sell art/jewelry that contain an image...?
Is it considered copyright infringement to create and sell art/jewelry that contain an image owned by the copyright holder? My boyfriend and I made bottle cap necklaces for each other using caps from our favorite soda, and we thought it would be cool to make more jewelry and sell it at art sales and stuff. Would this be legal? It would actually help out the company by promoting its products, and we'd have to buy more soda to get more caps. And... the necklaces kick ass! Thanks for your help <3

- It is not copyright infringement unless you use the name of the producer to sell the product. In other words, you can sell your jewelry as "bottle cap" necklaces, but not as "pepsi" necklaces. Even if you did, I highly doubt that anything would happen... unless you are selling them on tv or you sell a LOT of them... there shouldn't be any legal recourse.
- This is really tricky. If you are just recycling bottle caps, I think it would be ok. I wouldn't advertise the the name of the company, though.
- you'd better not ,there may be trouble if you found by the police ,you can sell them on the website, you you can to www.joobay.com have a look, may you can get a surprise! good luck!
