is it legal for me to set up a stand on a side walk?
I made some crafts like earings and other jewelry to make some money. Is it legal for me to set up a stand on the sidewalk by the park or something? If not, what can i do?

- I don't know for sure, but make sure you are not ON the sidewalk. That's illegal because you create a safety hazard by causing pedestrians to possibly get hit by cars. So at least be near but not on the sidewalk. I don't know about the legality of the entire issue though.
- I'm not 100% sure but I think to have a stand on the streets you'll need a permit, but i'm not sure where you need to go to get one. Maybe you can call or write to your local MP and ask about this? However, I know that your not allowed to sell things actually ON the sidewalk because a sidewalk is legally, for pedestrians, not stands. If all this fails and you still can't find anywhere to sell your crafts, then is there a local market place where you can set up your stand? I know that here in NZ, a market is held every Sunday in a specific location and people can pay to set up their stand. There may be something like that near you but i'm not sure,
- Depends on where you are, but probably not. At a minimum you'd most likely need a license from your city. I assume you meanyou'd be next to the sidewalk, not actually on it which would not be allowed.
- depending where you are some citys have a pedlers lic required all that is give you a lic to sell stuff in that city they do it just to have a yard sale to. the city wants to make money off you too
- Its not legal, unless, you have a city permit.
