Which Jewelry Stand is Best: Velvet or Leatherette?

I make jewelry/necklaces and I want to buy a jewelry bust stand for display so I can take a proper photo with my camera to post on the net. My choices are velvet or leatherette but I don't know which to go with. I mainly use silver and suede strings to make jewelry. Velvet can catch dust but I can use my lint roller and there would be no flash reflection in my photos. Leatherette won't catch dust but I think it would show a flash reflection back. I really like both but to your personal opinion [as a jeweler] which is best for display and mainly for photos? Thank you The stand will be black but I'm thinking white would look nice too. BLACK or WHITE stand? Velvet or Leatherette?
