What would you say makes a person stand out more at work jewelry or make up?
Not quite the answer I was trying to get.

- Too much of either one is enough to make you want to dry-heave.
- Neither unless you look like you're going to a costume ball or are the head clown in a circus. Rather than trying to stand out by looks, stand out by doing a fantastic job, taking on more than just what you're assigned, and being positive to all in the office. Become that beacon of light, and you'll stand out.
- Honestly, this will wound AWFUL but it's the truth, You can have a person with perfect makeup and jewlery and next to her a girl no makeup and jeans and in some cases the plain natural girl will stand out if she's the prettiest Also it's a question of taste, some peopl wear fashion jewlery and think its nice while others will be like "WHAT IS THAT!" I find looking naturally cute, with natural looking makeup that highlights your assets, lips/eyes, then you will stand out. Jewelry mehhhh,
- depends on what they are wearing more of
- Id rather have good service, im not worried about how much make up or jewelry or what colour the persons hair is that is serving me but i guarantee you if the person is nasty then everyone will remember them and look for things to stand out to give the manager a description.
- Are you asking about a person standing out as being over the top or as being well groomed? As others have said, too much of either is off-putting. Make up at work (in most situations) should be "transparent" - meaning you should not be aware of it at all. Jewelry should be very toned down also.
